As a multi-form writer, I didn't realize the importance of having a personal website.
If you are a writer and still wondering whether you should create a website or not, this post is definitely for you.

| It's important for writers to have a website |
As a multi-form writer, I recently built my website. For years, I avoided it, assuming LinkedIn, Medium, and social platforms were enough to showcase my work.
But here are a few truths I learned...
1: A website strengthens your brand voice.
If you're serious about building a personal brand, a website under your name is a must.
After all, as writers, our names represent everything we write and stand for. Having a domain in your name adds weight and consistency to your online presence as a writer. Having a website with our name is one of the best options available. Use it to grow your brand.
2: It's your digital home.
When you share blog content across social media platforms, you are actually inviting your followers to visit your digital home.
Every visit by your followers builds a deeper connection.
Consider your website like a home where followers pay visits. They warm up by reading and connecting with your content. Slowly and surely, your voice becomes familiar, they start trusting you, and before you know, you are on their minds.
Soon, your website's foundation becomes stronger and your authentic brand voice surfaces, making it more than just an empty URL.
3: A website links your journey.
Trust your voice.
Focus on sharing your story. Let every content you create, be it your blog, your socials, reinforce your brand's message and help it grow.
Remember, a website is your digital identity card and portfolio rolled into one.
While planning a website, make sure to create different pages, including
- About me
- Published works or books
- Other portfolio essentials
Remember, your website can become your anchor, a place where your work evolves, and speaks.
Start building your today.
